Edoardo Flores' Do Not Disturb Signs Collection
by Edoardo FloresIT
Italy
Edoardo Flores' collection is an extensive private archive of hotel Do Not Disturb signs gathered from around the world. Started in the early 1990s after Flores brought home a door hanger from a work trip to Pakistan, it has grown to more than 21,000 examples representing a remarkable variety of languages, graphic styles, materials and approaches to hotel communication. What began as a travel souvenir collection has developed into a visual record of international hospitality design and everyday graphic culture.
