About Cabinet of Collections

A clear home for the things people collect.

Cabinet of Collections is a general-purpose platform for documenting, organising and presenting collections of any kind, from focused personal archives to broad catalogues built over many years.

The idea

Every collection has its own logic. Some are best organised by format, some by period, subject, maker, release or product line. Cabinet of Collections combines a shared taxonomy with the freedom to add collection-specific categories, object types and groups.

Owners decide how each collection is presented. A catalogue can be hosted entirely on the platform, represented by an external link, or use a hybrid approach that combines both.

Private and draft collections remain visible only to their owners. Public collections appear in the directory only when their owners choose to publish them.

Flexible

Use a standard structure or adapt it to the collection.

Documented

Keep item details, images and collection context together.

Controlled

Choose what remains private and what becomes public.
